Elena is very happy to be back at beautiful Balhalla festival, which will take place this year in a new location outside Ghent.

Saturday, February 28, 2026 10:00 : Breathing circles

With Elena, we will have a closer look at a selection of circle dances that have a « breathing » characteristic :

Rondes from Bretagne, Quercy, Berry and Poitou, as well as a beautiful collective bourrée.
This is a lovely workshop for festivals, as we rapidly touch on dances from different regions, most of which are now played by many musicians.

Saturday, February 28, 2026 12:00 : Going further in your Bourrée auvergnate

If you have some good basics in bourrée d’Auvergne and would like to enrich your dance with new movements, this workshop is for you.

We will have a closer look on dynamics, rhythm, playfulness and specific figures.
If the group is interested, Elena can share some of her favourite embellishments (frappés & co).
