Subtle Variations or « Elena’s Frame Games » for Scottish

Elena’s « Frame Games » is how a good dance posture, a good technique to guide and/or follow, and finally some rather subtle rhythmic and/or bodily tricks can transform a dance without figures* into a « woooow experience”.

These are various « games for two » that Elena has found out over the years of dancing, some quite accessible, others already requiring a very good dance technique or body awareness.

In this short workshop, there will be proposals for both leaders and followers so that both roles can improve their technique, learn – or even invent – ​​various variations*, and pleasantly surprise their partner in the dance.

* I call “figures” things where the dance posture is changed and/or you let go of each other – for example spinning the lady.
I call “variations” the things that don’t necessarily influence dance posture or frame – and are often more subtle.
