Dafodil Workshop Collective Bourrées with Elena (Diest)

Dafodil, a very nice folk dance festival in Diest, Belgium, will be back for its 5th edition in May 2023.
Amongst other workshops and balls, Elena will give a workshop on Saturday, from 2 to 4 pm on « Collective Bourrées ».
We will learn a few different bourrées in binary and ternary rhythm (bourrée à 2 temps, bourrée à 3 temps droite, bourrée à 3 temps auvergnate) in groups of 3, 4 or 6 dancers, some with a large (uneven !) number of dancers, some others with the whole group !
Expect some bourrées you have never danced before (or not had a chance to practice much), as well as some more well known dances.
Level: open to everybody
If you have never danced bourrées, you will be invited to concentrate on the choreographies (and learn the bourrée-steps later on).
But you may get more out of this workshop if you are already quite familiar with different bourrée steps (2t, 3t, Auvergnate)
